The New Dynasty is what was created by ShadowRaptor101, ending the Old Dynasty, although not completely destroying that style of Mascotia. However, the era of the new dynasty may have been set in motion by SpotQuest, and the creation of other gritty adventure series.
Distinction from the "Old Dynasty"[]
The Mascot universe is much more defined in the New Dynasty than the Old Dynasty. Pettamapossum creates Mascotia, and the notion of the 'Mascot Community" appears. In terms of the aforementioned community, there are generally more members and much more flame wars and other conflicts.
While the Old Dynasty is comparable to a cartoon, the New Dynasty can be more easily compared to a PG13 movie or something similar. Romantic events are much more serious, with Mascots getting married, dating and even having children. It is also more dramatic in most areas, with Mascots and characters actually dying off in certain cases. While there are dramatic moments in the Old Dynasty, there are not nearly as much as the New Dynasty. In fact, jokes and other creations related to humor are very rarely seen now since the creation of the New Dynasty.
